My Frist Patient

Well my originally scheduled patient cancelled on me the night before clinic. I was really upset and definitely stressed out. Luckily one of my roommates was willing to take time out of her day at the last minute to come and help me out. That night we also got about 6 inches of snow on the ground so it took a lot longer than usual to get to school. To say the least, I was a little frazzled that morning.
Although my patient was about half an hour late I think the appointment went really, really well. I was prepared with all of the necessary equipment and supplies, I even used the diagnodent!! I didn't have any retakes on my radiographs, which was the part of the appointment that I was most nervous about. All in all I finished one quadrant of scaling. So, my patient will have to come back for another appointment but I got farther into the appointment than most of my peers who were able to start treatment on time. I was very happy with the way everything went.
