Woohoo!

Today was a great day! My first patient was a child and he sure was an active little thing. He did so good though and I even got some x-rays on him. I also passed off my diagnodent and selective polishing PE's. This afternoon I was hoping for a harder patient but he ended up being a 1B. We did a FMX with BWX and didn't even have any retakes so I was really happy about that. This patient was really extremely sensitive today during his cleaning and he didn't have any recession so I was struggling to figure out what was causing it. Then I asked him what type of toothpaste he used and he said Tom's of Maine....BADA BING! That toothpaste does not have any fluoride in it which helps prevent sensitivity. So, I gave him some Sensodyne (with lots of fluoride) so we will see if the sensitivity improves. I am so glad I was able to trouble shoot that!
