A Lot for One Day

We had a lab this morning where we learned accessory fulcrums, Right and Left slimlines, Hirschfield Files, Blood Glucose tests, Caries Risk Assessment and all sorts of periodontal medicaments (including Arestin, PerioChip etc.) and even Oraqix. Whew. That was a lot of info but I am so excited to finally be able to use these on my patients.
This afternoon I saw a wonderful 1B patient. I introduced her to floss picks to help her floss because she has limited dexterity...hopefully they can make an improvement! I also saw a patient that had her wisdom teeth extracted over a month ago and is still having pain and suppuration. She probably needs a packing and some antibiotics. Hopefully she can get that taken care of.
